Sunny Side Up was created with a vision to redefine breakfast in Cochrane.

Brothers Stefano and Enrico Favalessa, originally from Italy, saw an opportunity to bring greater depth, quality, and diversity to the local breakfast experience. Inspired by their European roots and supported by Stefano’s wife Carmen, who is from Romania, they set out to create something that blends traditional European techniques with the comforting classics of North American breakfast.

With over 30 years of combined culinary experience across Europe and Canada, their approach is grounded in simplicity, quality ingredients, and food made with care. Every dish reflects their heritage, their standards, and their belief that breakfast should be both comforting and memorable.

Sunny Side Up is a family-owned and operated restaurant, built on passion, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the Cochrane community that made it possible.
